# Aquatic Ecology and Fisheries Baseline

*Discipline: aquatic_ecology_and_fisheries | Tenant: Meridian Environmental Partners | Register refs: PS1-07, PS6-24*

## Method

Catch assessment across landing sites, seasonally stratified.
Survey campaign completed February 2023.

## Assemblage

3 restricted-range basin endemics are present,
alongside longitudinal migrants whose life history requires unimpeded
passage. Barrier effects are projected to reduce migrant and rapids
specialist abundance substantially.

## Dependence on flow

Downstream fishery productivity depends on maintenance of a minimum
release of 12.4 m3/s. Impact conclusions
in this chapter assume that release is provided.
